Lesser Known Cause for Low Back Pain

Did you know that 80% of people will experience unexplained low back pain at some point in their lives?

While there are a number of muscular reasons this could occur such as a weak deep core or tight hamstrings, the nervous system can also play into low back pain.

What the eff?!

So check this out, because the last stop on the nervous system train to being adrenalized is... the adrenal glands, we can actually end up with low back pain as a result of these overactive adrenal glands. This isn't about clearing out excess cortisol - once the excess cortisol is there, those adrenals have been already been working too hard. This is really about addressing the root of as many stressors and triggers as possible to prevent the adrenal glands from even getting involved.

I'll be sharing plenty more related to stressors and triggers, but in the meantime, one great way to help re-route the nervous system away from the adrenal glands is by activating the vagus nerve to help interrupt the sympathetic stress response and re-engage the parasympathetic nervous system (rest & digest).

There is plenty on the interwebs about this, but I'll share something short, sweet, and to the point here soon.

Stay regulated,

Shauna
